The Best Gift Ever: Colored Pencil Drawing
Middle school 7th and 8th grade students learned how to blend colors using various colored pencil techniques to create their own Christmas foil bows.
Finger Print: Pen & Ink Drawings
Middle school 7th and 8th grade students learned how fingerprints are unique to each individual and how to identify their unique fingerprint pattern. Students were then prompted to think of an image that describes them and incorporate it inside their fingerprint. Students learned how to use line variation and width to create values inside their fingerprint.
Animal Eyes: Oil Pastel Drawing
Middle school 7th and 8th grade students learned about various photographers who use animal eyes as a subject in their artwork. Students were then prompted to choose an animal eye, and try to capture the personality of that animal by observing the different textures using oil pastel techniques.
Practice makes Perfect
Students followed teacher demonstration and completed an oil pastel technique worksheet in class.
