Scratchboard Pet Portrait Workshops

Students are given an Ampersand Scratchboard to create their very own pet portrait from provided pet photo. Students learn how to transfer their photo onto their board using chalk method and then follow demonstration of finding their lightest values first. Students follow instructions on how to create values in their portraits using line variation and how to add color using added ink.

Needle Felted Moths & Butterflies Workshops

Students learn how to needle felt their choice of moth or butterfly by using a pre-drawn template using craft felt. Students then are shown through demonstration how to add and blend wool to their wings using various needle felting tools and techniques.
